Resizing the disk of a Fresh-start desktop within a course
If a Fresh Start machine in your course is low on disk space, you can quickly resize it to allocate additional storage in China.
First, ensure the Fresh-Start machine is stopped.
Next, proceed to Clone & Resize to convert it into a Standalone machine as illustrated below. If you haven't already, you'll need to set up an organization.
Here, adjust the disk size to your needs and submit the change.
Go to the 'Standalones' link at the top of the page to locate the machine and confirm it's present.
Back in the course, use the 'Delete' button to remove the original Fresh-Start machine.
Click the 'Create Fresh-Start from my Standalone' button
Within the 'Create from Standalone' dialog, you can also choose to increase the disk size if you skipped that earlier.
If needed, enter an alias name, then click the 'Create Desktop' button.
Standard DaDesktop Linux and Windows OS templates will automatically expand the OS. Note that AlmaLinux standard templates use a different default partition layout, so you'll need to follow the extra manual steps shown below.
For custom OS templates, the automatic partition extension might not happen. Manual steps to do this are provided below.
