Pricing

You have four options for paying for DaDesktop:

1. Public cloud (starting at 3 EUR per day)
2. Private server (starting at 10 EUR per day)
3. Reseller or volume purchase (starting at 0.1 EUR per day)
4. On-premise
    

Public Cloud

Pricing for desktops is based on a daily rate, beginning at 3 EUR per day for a standard Linux desktop featuring 8GB of RAM, an 8-core CPU, and 50GB of SSD storage.

Adding another 8GB of RAM, 8 CPU cores, or 50GB of storage will incur an additional charge of 3 EUR.

Windows environments require a supplementary fee of 1 EUR per day. However, if you possess your own license, this extra cost does not apply.

NB The daily charge is calculated within a 24-hour window starting from midnight local server time after the machine has been initiated.

 

Private Server

Opt for a dedicated server if you prefer predictable costs, regardless of the number of desktops running or the resources allocated to each individual desktop.

In this scenario, your only limit is the total resource capacity of the server, rather than per-unit counts. Please get in touch with us for further details.

 

Reseller or volume discounts

We offer significant discounts, potentially up to 80%, for resellers and bulk buyers.

This arrangement is typically designed for organizations aiming to:

1. Integrate DaDesktop into their own product offerings
2. Resell the service
3. Procure in large volumes 
    

On-premise

The standard rate for on-premise deployment is 6 EUR per core.

 

Public Cloud Case Scenarios

Case 1

A user operates an Ubuntu desktop equipped with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB storage for 8 hours within a single day. 

Total cost: 3 EUR

Case 2

A user runs an Ubuntu desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB storage for a few hours each day over five consecutive days. 

Total cost: 5 days * 3 EUR = 15 EUR

Case 3

1. A user operates an Ubuntu desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB storage for 1 hour
2. The desktop is deleted
3. A new desktop with identical settings is created the same day and used for 1 hour

Total cost: 3 EUR

Case 4

1. A user operates an Ubuntu standalone desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB storage for 1 hour
2. The desktop is deleted
3. A new desktop with 16GB RAM, 16 CPUs, and 100GB storage is created the same day and used for 1 hour

Two distinct machines were used, differing in configuration:

Machine 1 = 3 EUR

Machine 2 = 6 EUR

Total cost: 3 + 6 = 9 EUR

1. A user operates an Ubuntu course desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB storage for 1 hour
2. The desktop is deleted
3. Another desktop by the same participant or trainer with 16GB RAM, 16 CPUs, and 100GB storage is created the same day and used for 1 hour

Total cost: 6 EUR 

 

Courses

For both Public Cloud and Reseller options, course costs are billed to the Organization Owner based on the users who created desktops during the course duration.

Trainers

• If a Trainer is invited to join a course, the Organization Owner will be charged for it.
• If the Trainer initiates the course, the Trainer will be charged for it.

• In summary, the Organization Owner of the created course is billed for the course.
