Privacy Policy

DaDesktop takes the privacy of everyone who uses our services seriously. This policy sets out how we gather and handle your personal information, along with the steps we take to keep your details secure.

We only collect and use personal data where it is truly needed to deliver our services to you, or for the legitimate purposes described in this privacy policy. It is important to note that there are major differences in how data is collected and stored depending on which hosting option you choose.

NobleProg hosted public server

This runs within a NobleProg data centre China — fully compliant with GDPR. It is a shared server used by NobleProg clients and can be accessed by NobleProg.

If you select a server located outside the EU, local regulations may apply. For UK-based customers, data is kept within the UK.

NobleProg hosted private server

This also operates inside a NobleProg data centre China. It is a dedicated server for a single organisation, meaning no other organisation will ever use that hardware.

Should you choose a server outside the EU, local law may come into effect.

On premise server

The server is situated on the organisation’s own premises. The software is installed there, and all data stays completely under that organisation’s control.

Data categories

Here are the types of data we collect:

User account / personal data

Shared server

Private server

On-premise server

  • To get into DaDesktop, you need to sign up for an account.
  • When you register, you give us some personal details, like your name, email address, username, and password.
  • We ask for this information because it’s essential to give you access and keep our services secure.
  • Your data might be used to reach out to you about things related to your account.
  • We hold onto account data as long as your account stays active.
  • You can cancel your account whenever you like, and once you do, we wipe your account data.

  • The client can decide whether to handle users directly or have NobleProg manage them on their behalf.
  • The server can be encrypted to block NobleProg from seeing anything at all.
  • No data is gathered or kept.
  • NobleProg cannot access anything.

Training Room Data (including cloud desktop activity and chat function)

Shared server

Private server

On-premise server

  • Everything that happens inside the Training Room can be watched by the course instructor, training management, and our technical support team.
  • We keep an eye on things so we can assign the right data resources, help you sort out issues, let the instructor and management track class progress, and make sure everyone sticks to our Terms of Service.
  • The terms of use forbid users from doing any personal business here, such as checking social media, making financial transactions, or running personal web searches.
  • The data is erased after the course is officially marked as ‘finished’.

  • All data that is gathered and stored is looked after by the client.

  • NobleProg cannot access anything.

Video / Audio Data

Shared server

Private server

On-premise server

  • DaDesktop can come with a built-in audio/video tool.
  • This runs through NobleProg’s own infrastructure, not some outside software.
  • Course Desktops — whether Fresh-start, Trainer, or Participant — may be recorded if problems need diagnosing. Audio is never captured. These recordings are wiped 14 days after the course wraps up. Only NobleProg admins with SuperAdmin rights can view them.
  • All data that is gathered and stored is managed by the client.
  • Course Desktops and Recordings may, if needed, be captured for fixing issues and other reasons (see Shared Server). Those recordings are the client’s responsibility, and due to the automatic deletion process, they are automatically removed after 14 days.
  • No data is gathered or kept.
  • NobleProg cannot access anything.

Record Feature

Shared server

Private server

On-premise server

  • Clients can choose to record the course desktop.
  • If the recording feature is turned on, NobleProg keeps the file, and it can be reviewed. The account holder decides when it gets deleted.
  • If the account is closed, all related recordings are deleted too.

  • Clients can choose to record the course desktop.
  • All data gathered or stored is handled by the client.
  • NobleProg cannot access anything.

Technical Support

If you reach out for technical support, you’ll need to share some personal details — this could include your name, employer, email address, phone number, time zone, and the issue you need help with. We use that support info to resolve your problem and to get a clearer picture of the kinds of challenges our users run into. All technical support is handled within NobleProg itself.

Contact Us

You can exercise any of your rights regarding your personal data by sending us a written notice through the contact us page.

Changes to this policy

We might refresh this policy now and then by posting a revised version on our website. It’s a good idea to check back here once in a while to make sure you’re comfortable with any adjustments and to clearly spot any significant changes.
