Set Up From a Standalone Desktop

  1. Navigate to your created course—here’s a Demo course as an example. Then open the Desktops tab, click the downward arrow, and choose “Create from Standalone” to kick off your Fresh Start.

  2. Pick the standalone desktop you’ve used before for your course environment—this includes software, course materials, quizzes, and so on.
  3. During this process, you can adjust memory and CPU, and expand disk space if needed. Then click “Create desktop”.

  4. Your Fresh Start is now ready. Both trainers and participants can clone desktops from it.

    The Fresh Start serves as a template desktop within the course, letting you clone it for all participants and the trainer in one step. Anyone in the course can restore from the Fresh Start when necessary.

    From the ‘Cog’ menu, you’ll find many additional options, including cloning your Fresh Start to a Trainer, Participant, or Standalone machine, as well as cloning with resize to a Standalone. Other features include moving the Fresh Start to a different server, making Snapshots, checking recordings, or Setting up of a Remote Replica.
