Handling Operating System Templates

OS Template Naming Convention

Template names should only include lowercase letters and dashes.
It's vital to stick to this naming scheme so the application can properly categorize and order your templates.

<os>

Avoid putting dashes in the <os> portion.

<os>-template-v<number>

Examples:
debian12-template-v21
ubuntu2204-template-v17

Examples (all must begin with 'dd4w-'):

Remember that moving a large number of templates can affect your server’s network performance and overall experience. It’s best to schedule copy tasks outside of peak business hours.
 

Batch Deletion of OS Templates

A recently added feature lets you delete templates in bulk from multiple servers simultaneously. In the past, this was a slow, laborious process, but now it’s fast and straightforward.

• Just select a server that has the template you need, then pick 'Remove from .. ' (the 'Remove' option removes only a single template at a time)
• A list appears showing only the servers that hold this specific template.
• Tick the servers you want to delete the template from.
• Click 'Submit' and confirm; the templates will then be removed.
