Enhancing Your Connection Performance
Occasionally, DaDesktop may alert you when your connection has high latency (delay) that hinders good performance.
If that happens, follow the steps below to try to enhance your connection.

Steps to take
- If possible, connect via Ethernet. If using Wi-Fi, run an internet speed test beforehand (e.g., at speedtest.net) to check your speed.
- Stay as close to the wireless access point as you can. Prefer the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band over 2.4 GHz, since 2.4 GHz tends to be slower and more prone to interference than 5 GHz.
- Turn off or disable any VPNs or proxies before joining the course.
- If you can, temporarily disable security software that might interfere with the network connection, as it can sometimes impact connection speed (latency).
-
If your network uses content or web filtering, reaching out to your company's IT support might be a good idea. Adding these domains to the allowlist could help: :-
1. https://\*.npg.io (any host ending with .npg.io)
2. https://dd4t.dadesktop.com - Try not to perform large downloads or uploads while the course is in progress, such as pausing system updates on Windows, Mac, or Linux until afterwards.
-
Your internet speed should exceed: "10 Mbps download & 1 Mbps upload"
